What is Pilates?

The Pilates method of body conditioning has a proven track record of success when it comes to creating health. Pilates is a system of over 500 controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the total body. It's a balanced blend of strength, core and flexibility training that improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles - without bulking up.

Pilates works several muscle groups simultaneously through smooth, continuous motions, with a particular concentration on strengthening and stablizing the core (abdomen, back and pelvic girdle region). Because of the non-impact nature of Pilates, it is suitable for young and old alike. It can be effective whether you have an active lifestyle or one that is sedentary.

The Pilates studio is fully equiped with a Reformer, Cadillac (trapeze), Wunda chair, Half Barrel, Stability Balls, Magic Circles, Foam Rollers, etc.
